Restless Leg advice
Yes!I thought I was the only one , bloody awful condition. . My doctor says you can't have restlessness in your bum haha if only he suffered it xxx
I' l am there right now.l may need a combination of medicines to help.
I have such pains that run down the back of my legs. But I also have sciatica. So I sometimes wonder if my sciatica is bringing on RLS or if RLS is provoking me sciatica. They sometimes do seem to happen together.
Have this also, really frustrates me and i have to walk about do stretches and keep busy even though i am tired until bed time. I just take muscle relaxers, anti depressants, pain killers as nothing else agreed with my stomach, so my heart goes out to you ( ) Jean
Hi Jeanbean55, anti-depressants can make RLS worse for most of us. So, if you are having problems at night it could be the anti-d you are taking. Here is some info on this website that lists all the anti-d's. You might find it helpful. rlshelp.org
Thanks Elisse will look into it
Hi , it could be as another member has said sciatica.
Yes I have it in left leg, originally diagnosed as sciatica. have had Epidural but no longer helps.
I now have Peripheral Vascular Disease. Legs swell up and itch. One symptom is "cramping and muscle pain in the legs and buttocks". google it for more information. The check valves in vein returning to heart do no close all the way and gravity leaves blood in lower leg. There is a cure for it but insurance regulations require a 3 month wait period. So maybe it was not sciatica at all.
One can try using gabapentin for RLS. It is also a pain killer so will help with pains shooting down the leg. I am presently shifting from a dopamine agonist to gabapentin because of augmentation and urge control issues. not because of sciatica but it will help it.
