I was on baclofen for about 15 yrs. My neuro of about 18 years retired and I had to get a new one. This one got me off for absolutely no reason. It has been awful every time I sit down or lay down. Oh by the way I should tell you that I have MS. I have read that baclofen does help with restless legs so when I see my neuro on Thursday I will surely mention this to her. I had been put on baclofen for the spasms but I guess it had been helping for the restless legs cause they were only coming on once in a while, very seldom. Thank you for listening.

Hi, i know baclofen is used for relaxing muscles, but not heard it worked for RLS. but if it has helped you, then its a shame you got taken off it. I wonder why your new neuro stopped it. Did you ask why.? I would have been asking why.
Hi Judy, sorry that you are now suffering with the RLS, I know it is awful. I too have MS . I take Pramipexole but at the moment I am in the process of weaning off it. I was confirmed with RLS 4 years ago and was put on Pramipexole , 1 0.088 a night . It was fantastic, the first time in 12 years with no jibbly jablies, no pacing the floors until 5 in a morning. Peace, for 23 hours, then a year later it had to be increased to 2 at night, then a year later 3 at night. Then augmentation set in so now I am down to 1.5 a night, gradually decreasing it, as my body has relied in it for so long. I am currently taking 10 mg of oxycodone morning and night, and so far it seems to be working. Plus I take cocodamols to help with the pain of both the MS and the RLS. I have had RLS for over 30 years now and I was confirmed with MS nearly 5 years ago. My neuro says the 2 are related but I have never looked into it. Anyways if I was you I would go back to your doc and ask why you were taken off your meds if they were working, and really you should have come off them slowly after been on them for 15 years. Let me know how you go on, cheers JImeka
Thank you so much. I am going to my neuro tomorrow and will ask her about Pramipexole. I had knee surgery and the surgeon told me that the RLS is from the MS. My doc had put me on Myrapex a long time ago and I was so allergic to it. Have never tried anything else. Thank you jimeka.
