RLS and epidural! Oh the surprise I had!

I'm 25 years old and have had RLS since I was a kid. I had a baby a couple weeks ago and was very surprised when I had a terrible RLS attack after the administration of an epidural. It was so bad that instead of feeling "pressure" indicating when I should push I used my RLS worsening as the indicator to push! It was pretty awful having an RLS attack without the ability to move my legs! Word of advice. If you are expecting an epidural take your medication first. I am on team Mirapex.

Hi LIz, thanks for sharing about the epidural, I am due an op soon and an epidural was mentioned, I will take your advise on board. Congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby, hope you are both doing well. Cheers Jimeka

Oh my goodness that must have been terrible! Its amazing you would would expect an epidural to help rls not make it worse.Reminds of the man who had to have his leg amputated and still got rls by phantom limb pain.Torture! Congratulations on your baby x
