What are the problems(side affects) if one discontinues using the NEUPRO patch?

Hi alkjlk, that depends on several factors such are you intending to replace neupro with a new treatment? How high dose your neupro patch is? How long have you been on it? However the usual problem is much worsening of restless leg symptoms which can be very severe.

Hi Alkjlk, I haven't got the Neupro leaflet with me but the side effects of sudden withdrawal can be quite serious so be careful about discontinuing the patch and maybe just cut down the length of time you are using it? My symptoms start when I sit down in the evening so I put a patch on at 18.30 and take it off at 22.00. I started this in March and have had really good sleep since then. I would recommend that anyone who is on the patch tries it part time like this if their symptoms are not 24 hours. Perhaps you could cut down? The side effects say that an increase in RLS can be experienced (if you are using it for 24hrs) I believe so using it part time could be worth a try. All the best.
