I am really worried about loosing a lot of movement and increased pain. Restless Legs are not too bad. But since I have to hide at work that I have RL, fibromyalgia , pain it has become impossible to pretend that all is well. Having no support makes it more difficult. I had a more understanding boss but now I am very a fraud of loosing my job, income, status and no pension to back me up. Taking time off its very difficult. My GP cannot offer me more. I am on pregavalin 200 x 2, tramadol, setraline, HRT, paracetamol, co codamol. Have seen the reumatologist, pain management, and GP endless times. All they can offer i painkillers. Pregavaline does help but I'm suspecting that with the increased dose it is damaging.

Hi, i take it you mean Pregabalin, i havent tried that one. but i would suggest going to see your doctor and telling them of the symptoms you are getting and think its the Pregabalin.

Maybe Gabapentin would be better to try... I do know that Gabapentin is reknown for putting weight on, that is one i have tried and i put weight on.

Don't throw those pain pills just yet.. Gabapentin sounds like it

would most likely work along with the pain pills. You don't know

how lucky you are to get pain pills. IN the USA, it's getting super hard

for them to prescribe pain killers except for serious injury or surgery.

Get on the scale if you do use Gabapentin because that weight is so

hard to get back off. I missed meals and worked my hinder off after

I gained so much so fast on that stuff.

I gained 60 lbs "overnight" with Gabapentin and it did nothing for my legs. Not a good one for me either! Pregabalin gave me plenty of side effects. READ about them on drugs.com and seach Pregabalin/Lyrica. Yikes is right. Don't toss those pain pills as they are the only thing that helps a LOT of us. Never toss pain pills. ;) You will need them at some point for one reason or another,. I dare say that the number of pain meds you are on should be helping without the Pregabalin in my experience. You may not even need it with all the other meds mixed in there. Tramadol is very good for some people and it is synthetic opiate, so a bit safer. I personally take morphine and Hydrocodone ( not available in UK) Pregabalin is mainly used for treating Fibromyalgia in the US. That is what it is approved for. The jury is still out on it helping RLS at all, FYI.

I have tried amytripti;ine, norotripti;ine, gavapantin but for some reason they give me bad side effects like they affect my mental health and they eventualy did not work. So maybe there is another paikiller I need to try? this week i started loosing weight by being so busy that forgot to eat and stopped eating sweet things and more fruit on the go! Very pleased with that. I am able to sleep at the moment and having a good night sleep makes all the difference. I think is the patches, cocodamol, pregabalin. I started vitamin d and b. My step father gave me magnesium chloride and I am trying it at the moment. I am hoping the knees and tendons imrpove. Thank you for your advise.

It's been 13 days now...I am just checking in with you to

see how this is going for you. I really hope that sleep is

finding you and your legs are far more comfortable. Please

follow up and tell us what's new with you...Thanks.

You have a lot of add in medications going on there. When you take just

one medicine, even I can answer about the side effects but when you are

pouring in that many drugs, it's impossible to say if all or any of it is at fault.

I know that you can't help it.

You are going way too fast if you forget to eat. Slow down and care for yourself.

Painkillers always stopped my appetite. I didn't miss a meal though. I ate

every time I had to register my pain pill dosages. I lost some weight while

taking them. I usually only used them from 7pm to 4am.

If you are taking a lot of Advil or like drugs, it can make you swell up pretty

bad in the ankles, feet.. so watch that. keep us posted how it's going!

Mispiernas, I did notice one med on your list that can make RLS way worse in most people. Setraline or Zoloft is an SSRI antidepressant and is well known to set off RLS. See the treatment page on rlshelp.org and see the list of "Drugs and Foods to Avoid" That is REALLY important for us. SSRI's and tricyclic antidepressants will generally make RLS worse. there are others to try. My sister takes Zoloft, then has to take other meds to stop the RLS. My answer to that is always, change your antidepressant if at all possible. Does the doctor say you are depressed or do you feel like the sleep deprivation has caused the depression, so cause and effect.

Hi everyone. Happy New Year, sorry for not replying. I wish I could say I'm much better, but at least not much worse. Not taking untidepresants so went cold turkey and it's hard to experience like without that extra cushion. On a diet of no carbohydrate, no sugar or dairy. My energy levels have improved but not able to come off more medication. Pregavalin 150 x2 but the pain and lack of movement not so good yet. But I fell downstairs from quite high up and nothing was broken or badly damaged and recovered fairly quickly. I am taking turmeric and I think it helps along with fish oil and other vitamins. I am knitting for England and this keeps me happier. Only that I have now bought too much wool! Not funny. New year resolution I am handing down my cards to my husband, I have no control over shopping limit and I am only on 1 mg patch? I am on antibiotics for a bladder infection that does not go away. I'm keeping my job just! Continue working full time and sooooo busy. I sometimes think this too much for me and cannot continue but managing. I'm going into hospital to check my sleeping and restless legs and this time the consultant is very good and lovely. Restless legs has been good and sometimes cannot feel anything but if I try to cut out parch it comes back with a vengeance.

Mispiernas, there is a natural sweetener called "D-mannose" that will cure a bladder infection. It stops the bacteria from attaching to the wall of the bladder. It does not contain sugar.
