Define Recovery

It is very important that researchers define exactly what a term such as "recovered" actually means beyond the ivory towers of academia where recovered can actually be a deterioration as the PACE Trial demonstrated. A return to pre illness health / activity allowing for age (as decades have passed for some) would be a more readily accepted use of the word.

recover - return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength synonyms:recuperate, get better, get well, convalesce, regain one's strength, regain one's health, get stronger, get back on one's feet, feel oneself again, get back to normal, return to health.

Links with diagnostic criteria when what patients are actually recovering from is equally important in understanding the nature of the beast.

Can think of some psychiatrists that will fight for a fuzzy definition of recovery otherwise their treatments are dead in the water.
