Whilst I am so sorry for the main driving force for his current work, I am so grateful for the efforts of such open minded people as the great Ron Davis.
Globally there are so many similarly open minded scientists and medical professionals like him, but sadly there is such a dearth of them here in the UK.
About trusting science when "how to do good science and just how difficult and rare that is" jump out from a page.
Keep hoping that one day this disease will be validated and treat appropriately, such meetings give me more hope this will happen sooner rather than later.
