Two of my children have ME. The battle to be understood and be trusted continues. I feel its only down to me to help them acknowledge how their bodies create, use and recover from energy outlay and plan their activities accordingly to get the best from their bodies and life. This is the only route we have to safely maintain functional ability and give them the best chance to improve it over time. Until the real cause is found and treated. With science.

Talk of the Dutch research showing positive results is a bare faced lie when they did the follow up it made no difference pushing the children into doing things the therapists way gave the same results as doing nothing.

When they do research is for employing researchers or benefiting patients because it seems only the former get anything good from this.
