I stopped smoking two weeks ago, instead of feeling great, I feel like I've had a constant cold. Sneezing and runny nose, is this common?

Hi Tarabell, welcome to our online stop smoking community, a happy place where you'll get as much help and support as you choose :-)

Don't worry about how you are feeling, it's all pretty normal. Whilst you were a full time smoker, the smoking would have masked many symptoms of being 'unwell'.

How you are feeling now is a positive sign of recovery so please don't feel too :-( about it.

Reaching two weeks is brilliant, have you done this alone (cold turkey) or are you using any form of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) or device?

Keep up the good work and remember that you can do this :-)

Hi Tarabell, welcome to this lovely site, they're are lots of friendly people here, more than happy to give you the support we all too need.

Yes I've been suffering from the same problem, not sure whether to blame the weather or NIC... I suspect both, if not more the latter....

Thank you Pete I'm really determined to give up this time. Got an appointment with smoking cessation nurse today, a few weeks of sniffing and sneezing is nothing to the hacking cough I had when I smoked
