Hi soph Hun, I too may have tried once or twice before lol :)

Firstly plan your quit this time, and by coming on this site you will get a world of support.

How are you planning to quit? Cold turkey? Patches? Ecig etc?

I joined the site before I quit and took on board everything I was told, which has never come easy for me lol. I am using an ecig which has nicotine in the vape liquid and my plan is to reduce it slowly until I am both smoke and nicotine free :)

Whatever method you choose there are plenty on here who have already done it with that method so you will be fine :)

Em jay will be along to give you the best advice and others will no doubt pop on to say hi too. I am at the start of the journey too.

What has made you turn back to smoking in the past?

Oh maybe read a book called easy way by Allen Carr, it makes you look at the whole smoking thing in a different light. X

Hey Soph. Welcome to the site. I hope you like it here because there really is no better place for encouragement.

Hello Soph

Yes I too have tried many times but this time for me seems different, I've stopped longer than any time before ( except when pregnant) and I really don't think I will go back as I feel so much better health and financial wise.

What helped me apart from this great site. Was low dose patches early on then cold turkey and Chocolate lol, also every night I read a bit of Alan Carrs book. There are some really good phone apps as well so you can see how many cigs you have not smoked etc. I just overdosed on the internet reading all the reasons to stay stopped.

A lot of people are using Ecigs which seem to be a brilliant aid. Which ever way you chose to do it Just pick your date and go for it, everyone here Will help you on the way.x

Hey there Soph,

Welcome to the mad world of quitting the cigs. Not going to add much to what's been said already other than PLEASE don't give up on any NRT too soon.I gave up using an ECig and it took me nearly 4 months to get off it,I've been nicotine free for the last 6 weeks BUT everyone goes at their own pace & I think the worst mistake you'll ever make is getting rid of the Ecig before you're ready. I still get cravings now and then and I'm nearly 6 months, down the line so just be careful.Good luck and pop by to let us know how you get on.Hugs H

HI Soph

I smoked 40 a day, couldn't stop no matter what. I tried the Nicolite last February, I was on the high nicotine for a week, the medium for a week and I have been on the low ever since, my husband is still smoking by the way and I am gobsmacked at how easy its been, i'll have to try and wean myself off the nicolite now though lol but get it and do it, honest it will work, if one brand doesn't work try another. Good luck hon. xxxxxxx
