hello all. My mum is saying that her eyesight is really terrible now. Is it worth speaking to an optician?

Hi it is. My husbands eye percription has changed so always worth checking out, but it's also worth getting a gp referral to eye hospital. It's common with PSP to have blurred and double vision and they can help check this and perscribe prism lenses which can help Our optician and eye hospital liase to ensure best support we get this support and it allows for prism lenses to be fitted onto perscription glasses. It's likely that prism intensity needs will increase so may result in frequent upgrade of lenses which can be costly. Hope this info helps x

Hello there

This is a common with PSP. Opticians can prescribe lenses with prisms which help with the double vision which often occurs. Some neurologists often have opthalmic experience, ours certainly did but we found that there really was very little that could be done.

My husband found he was unable to read, which having been an avid readee he found difficult. He kept loosing his place on audio books so listened to the radio in the mornings and had the tv on, the rest of the day, which he could listen to if he couldn't clearly see!

Hope this helps

Of course, she needs to see an ophthalmologist. My advice: if you want to maintain good eyesight for many years or you already have visual impairments, you can support eye health with a natural remedy based on Lycopene. Surely you didn't know that this component is the best for excellent vision. It is a natural pigment of red fruits, berries and vegetables. It is extremely necessary for our eyes to use it. But for sufficient replenishment of Lycopene for the body, we have to eat tens of kilograms of tomatoes a day!

For example, fresh tomatoes contain up to 50 mg/kg of Lycopene, ketchup already contains up to 140 mg/kg, and tomato paste contains up to 1500 mg/kg. But there is an even better option - Oculax capsules. They contain concentrated Lycopene, zinc and vitamins. This is a comprehensive support for the cells of the body, not only the visual system. Take care of your health before it's too late.
