I am from India and new to this association. My husband age 69 was diagnosed (mis?) as Parkinson's patient in 2019. He was having speech issues and slow movements Last month, he started freezing and can only walk with baby steps. Consulted a movement disorder specialist who diagnosed it as PSP-PAGF. Increased his Syndopa dosage. My husband attends speech therapy and karaoke classes. What other activities should he try to improve/maintain the current state and prevent further deterioration.

Sorry to hear that your husband is afflicted with this progressive condition. My wife is in the latter stages of PSP. As you know there is no cure or treatment for PSP. However, you can slow the progress through exercise and weights. If you can find a well qualified trainer with the safety equipment, physical activity 4 times a week can be of some help. Socialization can also help lighten the mood and enable verbal communication. Communication is very difficult in the latter stages.Hope this helps.
We had good, if temporary, results from a Parkinson’s-specific program called LSVT Big. Speech therapy helped with swallowing and talking. I enjoyed doing the exercises with my sweetheart, too. Karaoke seems like a good idea.
