Recommendations for a robust outdoor walker with pneumatic tyres?

We are looking for a really good mobility walker that is not too expensive. The walker we bought is way too basic with plastic wheels but when he hits a small bump (say, irregular pavers) he cant anticipate the obstruction and the front wheels jar and the whole thing tips forward. We thought a model with proper pneumatic tyres would work much better. Is there any model that anyone can recommend that is not too expensive? thanks :-)

Hi Koalagal. We have been loaned by the hospital (Hampshire UK) a ‘U-Step’. This does not have pneumatic tyres but it has five wheels that make it very stable. I understand that it is expensive however. Alan

Hi. Thanks. We are in Sussex. Was it through the Hospital Neurology team that the U-step was organized? Thanks

Hi,

We used a four-wheel rollator called Lets Go Out - here's a link -

It was pretty good as the wheels at the front are bigger than a usual rollator.

If you think that would be what you are looking for, we have one that we no longer use (Ruth is in a wheelchair now) and we would be very happy to give it to you for free - always good to help this fine community. We live in Chiddingly East Sussex which may be near you. Alternatively I could post it to you.

Richard 😀

Hi there Richard. That is so very kind of you. Of course we would like to pay you for it but I would love to arrange to get it from you! Thank you so much. I will try to direct message you so we can make arrangements to pick it up. Thank you X
