Has anyone experience of Autochair Milford person hoist.

We used one for about three years.It was very good while Anne could point her feet in the right direction.

As movement got worse I had to get in the car and point the feet, operate the control and make sure she didn't hit her head, which is alright if you've got enough arms!

We couldn't shut the door on our vehicle when she was sat inside so had to lift off the hoist from its pivot. It's a hefty bit of kit so you need to be fit yourself.

Did I think it was worth it, yes.

When I ran out of arms, got an old ambulance with hoist for a couple of years, she is now bed-bound, so doesn't go out at all.
