Creatine supplements - any evidence on possible benefits?

We have seen a few research papers suggesting that creatine supplementation might help ward off neurodegenerative diseases, and also improve cognitive function. From a post of 7 years ago, it looks as though there was a clinical trial involving PSP patients with this and some other supplements, but the link given now seems to be dead. Does anyone know what happened with this trial? Or have any experience of trying creatine supplements? Thanks.
