Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy a device that will help dad to strength his lungs and clear his airways.

There are quite a few products on amazon which is little confusing so I appreciate your recommendations please.

Flutter:

amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001AI...

Acapella:

amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002YM...

amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07CZZ...

Breather:

amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00FE8...

Dad has psp and recently suffered from pneumonia couple of times. He is on peg-j atm.

Thanks

My mother was given something at the hospital to breath into against some resistance. Can your doctor not recommend something?

Thank you for your response. Dr doesn’t think dad has the strength to breathe into those so not recommending anything but I think dad can do it with some exercise

Exercise of any kind helps, I think, even if it's on a level that the therapists can't measure. It also gives hope and some positive interaction, which are also good for everyone.

Here in the states, patients are routinely discharged with a spirometer, which is what I think your doctor is referring to. It helped my husband build his lung function and clear his lungs.
