Our Local Groups offer amazing support to everyone affected by PSP & CBD however, the group meetings regularly host people at different stages of their disease progression and for some newly diagnosed people this can be quite daunting.
As a result, we have decided to trial Zoom meetings for people who have received a diagnosis of PSP or CBD within the last six months. We know from feedback how important it is for people to meet others who are experiencing the same feelings and emotions following diagnosis and talk through the support and information available to them.
The meetings for newly diagnosed people, will take place on the last Wednesday of each month with the first meeting taking place on 28 October at 11am
If you have been diagnosed with PSP or CBD in the past six months and would like to join the meeting, please email helpline@pspassociation.org.uk

This is a great idea as i have been diagnosed with CBD in April this year and i have already attended a few zoom meetings and find it very comforting. As i live in Scotland i have been on a zoom in Edinburgh and East Kilbride and if there was any to come from Aberdeen that would be excellent as im not far from there. Thanks for looking out for us you do a wonderful job.
This would be great, alhtough not sure how to use Zoom. I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago and am quite frightened. I live alone, so it sould be great to be able to discuss this with others.
Hi Alfie, if you contact the Helpline to sign up to the meeting they will forward the login in details to you a couple of days before the meeting takes place.
If you want to chat about your diagnosis or talk through the Zoom set up, you can give the Helpline a call on 0300 0110 22 or email helpline@pspassociation.org.uk
Hi Helen, my husband & I took part in the Kent area Zoom meeting on Wednesday. It was great, as we met a lovely couple on there who live not far away from us. It was great to interact with people that are going through exactly the same experience as us. We look forward to our next meeting in November.
