“Dad loved his holidays and had a real sense of wanderlust. People worry if they can still go abroad with PSP, with some planning it is possible.

"We researched disabled facilities and packed packages of food, including powdered custard, noodles, cake bars and basically anything he was used to eating at home, including his thickeners. We planned each trip with

Dad’s routine and capabilities in mind.

"In Oman, we booked a disabled room and contacted the hotel before we left. With the advance notice the hotel was extra helpful with Dad. We also planned trips with rest stops so he could nap and we avoided overnight

flights. Wheelchair assistance at the airport is a brilliant service and worked really well."
