Brain Support Network (brainsupportnetwork.org) and Stanford University co-hosted a webinar Friday, August 23, 2019 about “Evaluating and Treating Urinary Issues in Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple System Atrophy, and the Other Atypical Parkinsonism Disorders (CBD, PSP, and LBD).”

The webinar focused on urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary retention, and other urinary issues in parkinsonism disorders.

The host was Candy Welch, with Brain Support Network. Candy’s husband Bob was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy (which was later confirmed through brain donation). Bob’s first and most severe symptoms were urinary issues. Candy is a Brain Support Network Board member. She speaks at support groups and conferences (in the US) on the importance of brain donation for research.

Thanks for posting this, Robin. It has helped me track backwards to this symptom onset and gauge roughly how long my hubby had CBD, if in fact that was what it was, since he did not donate his brain for autopsy. Goes back 10 years before diagnosis, and before he died.

Hugs
