How uniquely strange

My son and I went for a short day hike in the mountains. We had driven at least a dozen miles off the main road and hiked a couple more after we parked. At one point we decided to mess around on some rock out croppings over looking a valley. After about 15 minutes of goofing off we ran across this stone. I thought that was strange considering we just had Dad's funeral last Friday.

This picture is for everyone who has lost a loved one........

I can only imagine, Ron, that stumbling across that memorial stone, in a place of such outstanding natural beauty, can only bring the onlooker as close to their lost loved one as it is possible to be. To sit there and quietly remember them in such a tranquil setting must surely bring a comfort that is otherwise hard to find. Thank you for dedicating to the folks on here, such a kind thought. I will keep that picture in my mind and tap into it when I am feeling low.

So beautiful.

I have just scattered some of Chris ashes in a beautiful spot . It feels important to remember beauty after so much ugliness.

Which mountains is this memorial Ron? Steve always wanted to be scattered up high, but decided it had to be local, when he realised that as he was getting older, so were his loved ones. It would be lovely to know if he had been in your mountains, so I know there is a place where he can be remembered.

Sending big hug and much love

Lots of love

Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. The general area is called Freeze Out Point.

Unfortunately we never went walking in the Bighorns. Drove near by once, so at least I can imagine where it is. Thank you so much for posting this, it's a lovely tribute to all loved ones, however they died.

Lots of love
