Oh Kevin, that took me back. I read through the party posts and wondered where I was as I didn’t think I had missed any, apart from the first one when I hadn’t a clue what was happening. I finally found me hidden in an answer to a post requesting the start time and apologising for not being able to be there as I had a night out with the girls. Apparently I went to a meal and a ballet and fell asleep in the first half but don’t remember any of it now. I must have been so exhausted. How my life has changed! I have to say I had tears in my eyes reading again posts from “friends” who are no longer with us but also smiled remembering the funny things Peter Jones used to write and his many private messages he sent to Colin. He always ended them with “Thumbs up mate”.

It took me right back... Those names... Yes, Peter was so good with his information and advice. Miss him.

I was doing care for Liz whilst it was on, absolutely dropping with exhaustion... I remember thinking... I can't cope with a party... I just need to sit down and calm myself.

Yes, I was caring for Colin but presumably was invited out so would have paid for a carer to look after him. I suppose that is why I fell asleep during the first half of the ballet, sheer exhaustion. I think I’ll look back at more old posts. It was like reading a diary I can’t remember anything about that night. Although I kept notes on most things Colin did, I never wrote a diary for me.

Me too... went to refill my coffee cup (so basically still on first cup) and l split again... guess l cannot blame it on emjothings this time... Ugh... l cleaned the carpet & now need to mop the kitchen & put PJs in laundry... today l will buy myself a box of ChocolateCovered Donuts & some ice cream... Weatherman is predicting a cold Sunday with rain & posible ice... so l need to stock up... LOL (yellow happy face)
