I have not had experience with CBD oils but this has been discussed on this forum before and experiences shared which maybe useful to you.
Search CBD oil in top Right of the screen I am sure you will find the old posts helpful.
Good luck

Hi, I give it to my husband (he has PSP, diagnosed in 2014) at bedtime and it helps him sleep better.
Dear Nanny857
I wonder does your husband take any night sedation and is he on Sinemet??
Many thanks
Love Tippy
Can any one translate this please. I think it might be very useful information for PSP and CBD patients.
I translate it in google and found below :
Hello. It's not any CBD oil that may or may not have the desired effect. In addition to the quality of the CBD oil, it is also necessary to take into account the ideal amount of droplets (not the same for each patient) and preferably take it sublingually, allowing the cannabinoids to enter the bloodstream immediately through the tissue. rich in vessels within the sublingual cavity. I have a theory that if the oil contains some percentage of THC is more effective. As THC oil is psychoactive, it should be applied preferably before bed.
Hi sonikaKharb!
This is our experience:
Symptom control: Most people only take medication for symptom control.
•Control of palliative medication against depression and insomnia. In our case right now: 1 Sertraline-50 at breakfast and 1 Lorazepam-1mg one hour before dinner. Of course all these drugs were prescribed by a physician.
Pills can be taken in a spoon of applesauce or similar...this helps it slide down. Also a good pill crusher helps.
A light dinner helps to control insomnia.
Some include 3 to 6 mg of CBD Oil via subling, usually before supper but not necessarily, to stimulate appetite, reduce anxiety and as a co-adjuvant analgesic in neuropathic pain.

Hugs and luck.

My husband with PSP is in a care home where he is given CBD oil called Jayden's Juice. It seems to help his appetite. We struggle to get him to eat without it. He also seems more engaged when we use it and is occasionally able to say a few words. Otherwise, he is nonverbal. He also seems less anxious and smiles more. He gets one drop under his tongue in the morning because sleep has never been an issue for him. I don't know what strength it is, but think it may be rather strong because we use so little each time. We're in California so we are able to buy it at the local cannabis store. I'm not sure if Jayden's Juice is available on-line because it is a local product. It was originally developed for the owner's son's epilepsy. There's probably more information about it on-line. Hope this is helpful.

Hi my husband has CBD, he has 1 cbd capsual in the morning which last the whole day, before he takes it he can hardly get his words out and is very slow, after he has the CBD he can hv a conversation and is fully relaxed.
You can order them online from Holland and Barrett. £37.99 for 60, worth every penny for us. We did try the oil 1st but found it messy.
Good luck

Hi ,

Thanks

Hey Kaka1234 -- if your budget is a bit tight but you still want a organically grown, C02 extracted CBD oil you can see if you qualify for a membership at familyhempsource.com
I joined their membership program so that I could buy the CBD we needed at wholesale prices. Our family was using A LOT of CBD. You need to be using more than 1,000mg a month though.
No difference to the drops it's equivalent to 4 drops so last the day,
Thank you very much for the translation. Oh how I wish I had been able to try it on my father. He had such a horrible time and he so didn't deserve it. He was so lovely. Again thank you, many people might get relief from it. I do hope so.
CBD is one amongst the 104 chemical compounds also called cannabinoids that is contained within the cannabis or marijuana plant. Any variety of the cannabis plant, whether high THC type or one that contains low-THC, can be cultivated to generate high CBD levels. CBD can be derived from both the hemp and the marijuana plant as it is found in abundant quantity. The basic difference is that CBD derived from hemp plant contains only 0.3% or less THC that is legally permissible. In fact, CBD hemp oil having such a percentage of THC is non-psychoactive and will never make you high or intoxicated.
