Hi,

My mom has been diagnosed with Atypical parkinson n psp. She has been having mild symptoms over 3-4 yrs n doctors just kept treating her for depression . Last year there was an MRI done n they diagnosed it as atypical PD. She has frequent falls n her body balance is pretty impaired. I have read over internet there have been no break through what so ever for atypical pd. Are there any clinical trials for psp n atypical PD in India or US.

Glad you found the site. Go to youtube and put in Jim Bower of the Mayo clinic, MAKING A DIAGNOSIS OF PSP, CBD, OR MSA. It will give you excellent information.

Good luck.

Just watched the video by Dr Bower. It is the best, easiest to understand video I have seen. I second your recommendation.

Yup, it's sad for all of us.....with hope that "something" will be discovered to stop it.

I'm glad that this was helpful. I think the more you learn the more you can help your mom. This site has much info to share.....just ASK.

Welcome to the site. You'll find lots of good information here either by searching old posts or asking. I am not aware of any trials going on but maybe if you ask your mom's doctor they could look into that for you, especially anything in the same country.
