Unfortunately you may not see any positive reactions to a medicine. Not all patients will have the same results to a given medicine.

I would advice to watch for any adverse reactions. One medicine tried for dad had no effect at normal dosage but as doctor pushed dosage higher he began to hallucinate but still had no positive results.

Rasgaline I believe is how it's spelled, I'll have to check my old notes. It is supposed to "boost" the effect of levadopa.

I will leave it to those that have tried it to answer that question. They will know better.

This thread might help though.

It was prescribed for my wife when she was mistakenly diagnosed with Parkinson’s which often happens in the early stages of PSP . It had no positive reaction I am afraid .

Thank you so much for getting back to me on this

There is no magic bullet. Most medications are of little use. Some may work for a time then stop being of any use. Larry tried a few with little to no improvement.

I had no positive results when dopamine was effective from madopar. Just very bad side effects. Co caraldopa was semi effective but can only taķe controlled release now made side effects copable with. Dopamine losing the effect generally for me personally.

Don't give up though. Try different formulation/brand first. It can be useful in slowing down the disease
