I am so sorry to hear this. Have you had a doctor to see your father-in-law? If not you need to get help now. I am not a doctor but from what you say your he sounds to be in the last stages of his life. I urge you to get help for him now. Do you live in the UK? If so you could get help from your local Hospice. What help is available depends on where you live.

Hello Ashu; This does sound like its very serious! Often our patients get a UTI (urinary tract infection) which can cause sudden symptoms - our patients at this late stage may not be able to tell you what is wrong, so you must get a doctor to check this out.

If your father in law has reached the end of the journey with PSP, I send you my sympathies in advance: it is an anxious time for your family: after 10 years I hope your dear father in law has a peaceful release.

Do let us know, and hugs to you in the meantime.

Does it mean last stage... Means just few days or a couple of weeks

I'm not qualified to say Ashu...but given the length of time he's had PSP and these symptoms, it sounds serious and possibly "close" to the end. This is why you need a doctor to check him out. I don't know what country you are in or whether Hospice is available to you, but I would urge you to contact them.

Please let us know how it's going!
