Hello all

Neil has a minor chest infection I hope, I had some backup antibiotics so jump on it right away, time will tell if we caught it in time.I gave him till Friday to come around. He sure had had some and I mean literally crappie days, but then he picks -up again.went through a pretty good feeling sorry for myself time and a lot of anger. Finally got home care straightened around and things seems to be leveling out.

Hi Dee,

I've been wondering where you were...noticed you weren't responding ..Sorry you/Neil has been having a nasty time :-( He does seem to bounce back, though, doesn't he? Basically strong except for the PSP!

You have a right to feel sorry for yourself...What are you doing to take care of yourself? Anything?

Anyway, thinking of you!

Thanks Anne

Im not sure if it's his stubbornness or the PSP. My love of outdoor projects has kept me sane, got my privacy wall built and garden boxes done,I do miss our acreage, but on my own could not handle it.Guess that's one of many things I miss.

How are you and your guy?

Dee

Thanks Dee, we are ok. The downward trend continues at a very slow pace. His speech is all but totally unintelligible. Sleep is still very disturbed (despite the full dose of overactive bladder med, myrbetriq- darn..) He can still walk a little - very shuffly. He cant operate his cell phone, the microwave, or the tv remote. He can still eat! No choking but lots of coughing. Sleeps or dozes a lot of the day.

Pretty good compared to most here??

Hugs xx

Yes, Anne, it's slow here too. I can't hear Charles' voice at all and sleeps a great deal. He is pretty much bed bround. Sad.

Hugs,

So true Cutter - to be the most important and most responsible person in our loved one's life, and to not be able to help them out of this trouble is unbearable at times! Everything in our lives teaches us to solve problems, end evil (or avoid it) heal injury.... Not "live with it" for years and years....ugh.

Hugs, strength - and patience - to both of us!! ;-)

Hospitalised at moment as have had nasty chest infection which is still reverberating as body recovers afterwards. Firsr time in.

Conclusions

1) do not delay going to dr unless you love hospitals and nedulizers

2) train fan well as possible so can cope without you. Prepare for the just in case in advance.. I thought I did...

3) Make sure the hospital gets meds right. Bradylkenetic yesterday as pd didn't update records...

4) make sure visits are brief as you just won't cope. If severe difficulties swallowing, try not to get disrurbed by what passes as very soft diet! You'll laugh later.

Hopefully doesn't happen, but PSP has habit of doing unpredictable. Hope he gets well soon.

2) ...who is the fan you didn't train? Lol...or was that a typo for your man?

Hope you are recovering! 🌼🌞🌈

Short hand for family, mainly son & beloved hubby. Yesterday they insisted that they have never been shown how to use washer/dryer but my daughter and l know different! They 'forget' in the mistaken belief my daughter will do it for them!

They are having lessons in laundry again from her consequently. Seriously, they may not realise the roles they have to take over. Even Jesus did work of slave when called for. It takes humility but the family works together more happily with less stress. It can even lead to funny situations.

My daughter will not let them get away with anything. Care never should fall on one person if possible. That's training family in advance.

Hope things improve for you. Apparently I have liquid aspiration. PSP strikes again! Thickeners are required but since I am diabetic too on low protein diet, this creates problems. This could happen again but will learn to manage it so hospitalization can be avoided. Have they said about nebulizer at home to you? It seems drastic but is it practical in preventing admissions?

Dear Dee,

I also have a stash of antibiotics just in case. They sure bounce back until the next hurdle. So hard, so hard. Hang in there and I'm gratified that others cry too. I sure do. Perhaps it helps but I can't help it either.

Take care.
