I would like to ask about what caters in Australia can do for patients. My husband cannot get out of bed without me to lift him to get on the commode to go to the toilet. I have been told that they cannot lift him so st the moment I don’t really see what benefit they can be. I have a hoist but it needs two people so the carer cannot use that. I feel really upset today as it seems I need to be here at all times. Sorry for the rant Kathleen

I’m surprised you didn’t get an answer from someone on your question. I’m in the US and wouldn’t know about the Australian heath care system. Talked to your doctor or health care system to find out what carers can do or should do.

Good catch Jeff166....
Yes, sorry you haven't had a reply Kathleen: If you want to know who here is from Australia, go to the search window and type Australia in. Posts with Australia in the title, including "who's from Australia" should then be listed and you can see the names of the Aussie respondents and private message them? - or - maybe repost your question but put Australia in the title?
I think people sometimes pick and choose what they will read based on the title.
Best wishes!! XX
