Thought you might like to see what my niece's dog thinks about PSP.
It's not just us and he never even met Steve.
Enjoy Christmas everyone.
Lots of love

Our cat keeps suggesting I write to the cat rescue complaining about it. She has a rather narrow view of the world.

PS The cruelty of extended decline is gutting.
My cat...only cat in the house....has only known a house with psp..as we got her for therapy....basically mine, tge caregiver. Slinky is hus guardisn at times...as she pawed my face to wake me up and lead my eyes to Steve"s chair....which was empty! Slinky wanted me to know he managed to get up and walk himself to the bathroom! We all know that shoukd be a good thing, but he should be guided unless he gets shaky and falls.....which Slinky knows! Slinky also hides more than normal cats....especially when Steve has an emotional yelling episode....but who wouldnt? She always comes back and sits behind him when things are calm again. Wise kitty....she would never abandon him...just like her cat mom. Peace.
Well said that dog.
So much help for other illnesses.
Love to all carers and sufferers

Woof woof that doggy! X
He knows the real truth Anne, they say dogs have a sixth sense and I think it's true. Hope you are OK as Christmas approaches, I know it's going to be a tough time for you.
Big hugs

Hi Kate, embracing it as I said I would. Some days it works, others not. Family are doing their best, but dreading waking up on the 24 & 25th. Already decided Ollie (the dog!)is coming to bed with me.
Hope you are OK and getting into the Christmas spirit, just listening to how Gin is the most popular drink!!!
Sending big hug and much love

Are you with the family For Christmas Anne? Mine are all coming for at least 4 nights, so 4 extra adults, the two little ones and the dog. Half of me is looking forward to it and the other half wondering how we will cope. Ben gets very tired and needs a lot of sleep but that won't be possible for those few days. I have delegated all cooking to them as I know I can't afford to wear myself out and become ill. That happened last year and it was so difficult.
Sending much love back and nothing wrong with cuddling up with the dog, he will enjoy it too.
Big hugs

Interesting about dogs. Got a rescue for Bill in April. He died in July. Told him he was supposed to take Maisie with him! Lol. But the week before he died she layed by his chair and did not leave him. She is a good dog. Thought she was 6. Found out she is 13! Sheds a ton but now wants to be where I am. Not happy when I leave. Some company tho now. Can’t take her anywhere. Was a farm dog and barks at every car she sees because no one ever told her not to! Yes dogs are interesting.
Merry Christmas everyone. Kind of a quiet time now isn’t it? Thank you all for all your support and love.

No definelty not the PSPA! They are our life line. Glad it make you smile, brought a titter to me, which is why I thought I would share it.
Not an easy time, this time last year, I did a family party for his children and grandkids. His daughter had come from from the States for Christmas. Looking back, he was so so tired, the noise was overwhelming, but it was the last time they were all together, so whilst he struggled, I am sure the children have got some comfort from having a lovely night to remember. In anyone's death, we have to think of the ones that are going to be left behind and make sure their needs are met.
Sending big hug and much love
