Your right there!! My husbands once muscular arms are getting really thin, I wonder how much longer he will be able to use them to help support himself, it's such a wicked illness
Debbie
Yes it is Tony. My husband still has a very firm grip but that is all he has. He can only use his grip to hold things, not to support him. His arms are fixed across his chest despite doing exercises for years so he can't do anything with his hands other than grip. His legs can no longer support him either.
PSP is awful to deal with but it is still good to hold hands with C and feel his warmth.
I hope your weekend is as good as it can be.

Oh tonydixo
It's hard and it hurts.
Hang on to every shred you can still share.
Hug her even when she can't hug you.
Shedding a tear for you both.
Love

Is she in a wheelchair yet Tony/ We've already talked about iy. Since you are fromn the UK, You need to contact...the help me out here my UK peers, the CHC for assistance
I'm sorry for you and your wife Tony
That's right AB - Get your G.P. to do a referral to Continuing Health Care.
CHC will give you support, carer's all free.
Also self refer to the Social Services Physical Disabilities service ask for an O.T. assessment they will supply equipment on loan. The quality is usually good. They will also fit agreed things like handles and rails.
Avoid Socail Care from Social Services - its mean tested and you should get the same serive s free through CHC.
Good luck and I am sorry for the situation.
Best
Kevin
