Sorry you have to go through this Maxwell123. My husband just missed it because of his date of birth. I hope all goes well for you and the results are in your favour.

Ben recently had an interview and the lady was very pleasant, she asked lots of questions about Ben's daily life and how he managed various activities. Also asked if he could do tasks independently, with help or unable to do things unassisted eg make a cup of tea, cook a meal which he said to most he couldn't do safely due to balance problems and needed assistance when walking about. The interview took about an hour and a half so quite lengthy.I had already sent the PSPA booklet with the application. I was allowed to have input too and in fact did most of the talking. I had been for advice to a local charity and they said to notify them if we didn't get awarded the full payment and they would appeal and attend any tribuneral which they said they invariably won. I think There are other charities that may be able to advise here too. Surprisingly he was awarded the PIP payment with no appeal, I was amazed. Best of luck and say it as it is on a bad day. Love Kate xx

Try and make a diary of your day and not a good day, lay on with a trowel, if you stumble classify as a fall, if you cannot see properly ask them to move into your vision, you will need written reports on your condition as evidence from you neurologist, GP, Physio, OT and speech therapist, if you need the reports and do not have contacts ask your GP to get them. Also be aware that PIP appeals have very strict timeframes I think 28 days from their letter not the date you receive it. If you need help with the forms or just some confidence ask your local CAB, phone them and ask for a home visit.

Good luck Tim
