Drinking carbonated drinks seem to be easier for my mom to swallow

Finding that any drink that is carbonated is easier for my mom to swallow.

Read another post about drinking carbonated water is better for them, I tried it and it works x

Yes it's true I had a swallowing incident about 18 months ago ended up in A&E ab they said that drink some carbonated drink IT finally cleared itself just before treatment. I have been clear ever since but find that breathing whilst eating aids the swallowing process .

That's interesting. We had the same experience with my Mum and she was able to take an occasional glass of champagne to the end!

I found that so as well . I still use th Nutilis thickener though . I have lately started to but the orange lucozade which is a bit fizzy .
