The vitamin regime you refer to was, I think, not well founded. Christine47 has done some research and has some interesting posts. You can search for those, and see what you think. Our neurologist, at the Lahey Clinic near Boston, is one of the real experts on psp, and she has my guy on 2400mgs of CoQ10 every day, which may have slowed things down, but that's all.

2400 mg of Co-Q10 is absolutely huge! What is the logic there?

From what I understand, Co-Q10 improves the functioning of the mitochondries to oxigenate the cells. The goal in that respect is to bring back the concentration of Co-Q10 in our organism to the level we have when we are young and healthy. This objective does not require large amounts.

Did that kind of concentration cause some hallucinations?

Hi all,

There are some publication about relationship between CoA and Psp. Please search via web. There is no certain proof but the result of study was good. A patient can start 200 mg per day and then inceease 400 mg / 600 mg. There are two type of coA. Please kindly use one of them.

My mom is taking ubiquinol form. Please read an article about it.

God bless all.

Take care

It is for nerve pain. However it is a supplement so it cannot hurt I suppose. I would talk to your dr about it. I don't know that neuropathy and PSP are in same areas of brain or affected by same protein, TAU-17.

AVB But if it is C0q10 go for it .I cannot get bruce to swallow the huge pills anymore...but what I thought I might have seen is no longer there....

Good luck

It was never suggested to us that it would affect nerve pain, just for slowing the progression, but the clinical trial most recently completed did not produce results so great that it's generally prescribed. Dr. A thinks it helps, and we trust her, and my sweetheart's progress has been relatively slow, but that could be how it was going to go anyway.

yes it's hard to tell what is working and what is the natural progression. Well continue to use it...you too can take C0q10...we too have brains to care for...! The info I got was on the web. Nothing more than that.

I think the post about the supplement was removed because it was done by a troll who was giving out false imformation and when challenged he became abusive. Janexx
