My Twin brother John Dolan, has psp.

I am supporting my sister in law Sandra Dolan

She is on her own, caring for my brother, and

does also do a full time job.

Welcome to the site. I'm sorry your brother has this awful disease. He is blessed to have a sister who cares and is able to give support. I hope you all get as much help from this site as I have had over the years.

Best wishes.

I'm sorry you have had to join this site but it's the best thing you could have done, I myself couldn't cope without all the friends I have made on here!

Feel free to ask any questions or rant and rave, there is always someone at hand to help you through this trying time and we all do our best to help each other.

Your brother is very lucky having a sister who obviously cares so much, keep posting....

Sending love to you both....Pat xx

Sadly, I welcome you . and tell your sister in' law to come over as well....you both will find this site a comfort and maybe even informative....May I ask, are you identical or paternal twins? If identical, perhaps you could find a PSP research center that would be interested in what your structure has to resist the disease. I realize it is not genetic (so they say) but a study of twins esp identical has got to lead to some 'unfound' information....Again I am sorry for your brother; for all of you...

Welcome to the site. I met your sister-in-law at the recent PSPA friends and family day at Cambridge. It was lovely to meet her and I hope she got some good information and support from the day. I know she has joined this site too so that is great. Do keep posting.

You will find this site a great help both for support and information. You may feel that you are having to fight this disease and all of the implications that go with it a bit of a lonely journey but you will get great advise and a virtual shoulder to lean on here.

I am the lucky one, to know how great my brother is being looked after, even tho, he does not always appreciate it. It is a long road we have to travel, but i will support as much as i can. I am the big sister of 5mins.

Thanks. Life can be hard, dealing with this illness is very hard, but it is nice to know my sister in law is not totally on her own.
