Just got the new 4 wheel walker out of the camper and put both brakes on for J. Well one brake; the other snapped into 4 bits. (My heavy hand or Chinese plastic?). What am I going to say to the physio tomorrow?!?!

If it came from the physio they will get it sorted for you. It's surprising what gets broken and normally it's quicly replaced. Janexx

Don't worry about, it must have been faulty, not you being heavy handed, they are suppose to be strong, to support people, please don't stress about it, it is one of those things.

Love Yvonne xxx.

I think, "what a useless piece of machinery they have given you." " What would have happened if J had been going down hill?" Etc. etc. etc. etc.

A walker is meant to be fit for purpose. This one wasn't!!!!!

Use your conversation to get rid of some pent up stress! It's the only advantage of something going wrong!!!

Lots of love

I did the same thing with my guy's walker. The brake handle just snapped! We had had the walker above a year, but he had only been using it for about three months. I was told by the medical supply shop that the warranty wouldn't cover it, since that part is prone to wear, but if I cared to schedule a time, they could fix it for about 50 dollars. Then the VA stepped in and just sent us a new and better one. I hope you get a better one, too. Best, Easterncedar
