2864, There is no "normal" progression in PSP patients. PSP is not a one-size-fits-all disease. Each patient is different and unique. Some patients never encounter a symptom that other patients have (my wife is an example of that). Some patients have the same symptom as another patient but not as severe. Some patients get a UTI or pneumonia in the "early years" and die before the "normal" range for PSP patients. Others patients live longer than the "normal" life expectancy range. It's like patients are all on the same journey but what they encounter or how long the journey lasts can't be predicted. That is the most frustrating part of PSP, not knowing what's ahead and when death will come. Hang in there and be strong, it's a tough ride. Jimbo
