Hi All,

I’m very new to this. Diagnosed with LAMN II. Recovering from surgery, complete hysterectomy, omenectomy and peritonectomy. No HIPEC. Under ‘watch and wait’ at Basingstoke until review in Nov ‘25. Any advice will be appreciated as to dealing with the demons in my mind that pop up whilst coming to terms with this diagnosis.

Hi Glamnanna

I found my PMP diagnosis in 2020 shocking too, but it's a slow developing cancer, and so with surgery and regular check-ups, my confidence has slowly returned. It definitely gets easier with time!

Hi DanceFixesAll,

Thank you so much for your reassurance. It’s such early days and doubt creeps in frequently. It’s such a shock to have any cancer diagnosis that whenever I get the slightest odd feeling in my abdomen, I think the worst is about to happen. Finding my new normal is now the way forward and am trying with positivity.

Yes I agree - I was originally diagnosed in 2003 and remember the shock well. Take a day at a time in your recovery and try to be nice to yourself.

Thanks so very much , Susan. Your support is much appreciated in these early days. The pmpsurvivor website has been a huge help too.

Best wishes to all pmp survivors x
