I finished my SBRT treatment 2 weeks ago and am so pleased that I’ve made it so smoothly! I highly recommend that treatment if you’re a candidate . I had mine at NYU Langone.

Congrats on completing treatment! I'm just a few weeks ahead of you, but so far, side effects have been relatively easy to manage. Wishing the same for you and quick path to recovery!

Good morning! I thought I would check in and see how you are doing? I have just made the decision to go with the Cyberknife treatment at NYU Langone. Never an easy decision. I hope you are doing well.

I’m doing great! I’m pleasantly surprised at how well I’ve done. The preparation, including the biopsy and spacer placed, were the most uncomfortable part of the entire procedure. My doctor is Andrew Evans. Yours?

That is so comforting to hear! So happy for you. My doctors are Dr. Aaron Katz and Dr. Jonathan Haas. I have just made the decision after numerous appointments and opinions from other doctors. I am hoping that this will keep me intact in order to continue having a normal, healthy life with my partner. Let's continue to update each other. It is always great to have someone to chat with. My name is BILL.

Hey Greg! Me again. Did they say anything to you about Hormone Therapy?

No-nothing has been said about hormone therapy. I have a follow up appointment in a few days and will ask about that.

Congratulations. My husband and I both had cyberknife in 2020 and have had no illeffects what so ever. Numbers continue to come down and are at 0.76 as of this month. No hormone therapy was ever mentioned or needed. Most uncomfortable procedure was the spacer and marker placement. They gave us nothing to help ease the discomfort of the procedure. We both had individual situations where we nearly passed out. Everything else about the procedure was wonderful. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Can’t believe how many of my friends have had it removed without researching, learning, and questioning other procedures that are available. Sometimes we feel it’s barbaric the doctors attitude towards gay men. Thankfully, we did a lot of research asked a lot of questions, educated ourselves, and made the right decision. We wish you continued success and good health.
