Lupron - Gout Connection?

I've been "on" Lupron since last September. Since then, I've had two gout flare ups despite the fact that I'm taking Allopurinol daily. I've discussed this with uro, radiation oncologist, internist, and podiatrist. None has an explanation. Anyone have a similar experience? Suggestions?

Thanks,

EdinBaltimore

PS: one more reason to hate Lupron. LOL

I also had gout when I started Lupron. My uric acid test was high and I took Allopurinol for 3 months. Then it stopped as fast as it started and has not returned. When cells die off they release their contents which includes purines and uric acid. I also drank a lot of water.
