Great news.

I received my results from my Urologists recommended Prolaris testing. My score was 3.1 low risk category. My cancer aggressiveness risk was defined as very low/low. And given my 'chance of dying of prostate cancer in 10 years' is 2.1%. My chance of metastatic disease at ten years if having treatment is 0.5%. Both are very low. I hope this info encourages those who on initial diagnosis are low risk and directed to Active Surveillance a more detailed and informative course for peace of mind.

Cheers,

GREAT news, man!! I'm not familiar with Prolaris testing. Tell us more. Breathe a sigh of relief, monitor your numbers and enjoy!

That's great to hear! Peace of mind is a pretty wonderful thing. I wish we'd caught mine a little sooner (Gleason 4+3), PSA 18) but I'm hanging in there, now that radiation is finished and I'm halfway through ADT. Do all the right things with diet, exercise, attitude, etc! Good luck to you.
