In a retrospective SEER database study (men on Medicare), 167 men on active surveillance (AS) received testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). After 5 years of follow-up, they were no more likely to have to have radical therapy than men on AS who didn't get TRT. This was only a retrospective study on a small population, so it is entirely possible that men selected for TRT were thought to do well with it. Just hypothesis generating, not proof.

This is very interesting and relevant to me, since I take TRT daily, and I have Stage-III prostate cancer. I am taking Dutasteride, since my DHT levels are inappropriately high. My PSA dropped from 10 to 5.5 after taking Dustasteride. Thanks for posting this favorable study!
