I've finally got an appointment to get the results of my prostate biopsy on Monday in 2 weeks time. It's taken quite a while. My PSA was 12 and an MRI scan showed a dodgy area on the front of the prostate. My PI-RADS score was 5. I was then booked for a biopsy which got deferred 3 times. I was told I would get the results within 2 weeks. Over 2 weeks later I got 2 separate letters giving me the appointment. This is through the NHS.
I expect it will reveal cancer of some sort or other. I've put together some questions, but are there any questions which members wished they had asked? Assuming some work is required, I will go private, so I need to investigate options. I live near the south coast.

For your biopsy, if you can, get a transperineal rather than a transrectal biopsy from an experienced practitioner. It prevents sepsis and makes the anterior of the prostate easier to reach.
Here are some questions to ask when you get your report and if cancer is found (Q2 only applies in the US):
Many thanks, Allen. I've printed out the questions and will amend as appropriate for the UK. I did have a transperineal biopsy which was easier than I expected - very limited side effects and back to full exercises after 6 days (I was being quite cautious).
