I have run across some papers, the only thing I remember is that they were differentiating between those that started taking statins after being diagnosed and those that had been taking them for years before that.

You can Google statins and prostate cancer. There is evidence. When I was on adavastatiñ my PSA dropped significantly.

"Nature" has some good articles on Prostate Cancer.

Found this to be a little better than Google search.

It has the effect of helping to defend you against something statistically far more dangerous than pc.

Not necessarily. See: thennt.com/home-nnt/

statins lower cholesterol which lowers T as that is a substrate for T. Also some evidence of direct effect on testicular production. I think I’m a lab rat that supports that.

I’ve read figures like 10-15% or more. Probably individual variation and type of statin.

Ive read that the statin drugs reduce the large lipd particles, when it is the small lipids that do the most damage. So they hit close to the target but don’t hit it. This is why they say that statins provide no/little evidence of extending life compared to other people. They do show some benefit, but nothing spectacular the way they thought when the drug first came out.

But! Cancer likes to use lipids/fats to travel. So statins are supposed to have a cancer benefit.

(Wonder if its better for cancer than it is for heart disease? Lol)

I recently did docetaxel chemo and was told to stop my atorvastatin while taking the daily steroid tablets.
