5 years post-prostatectomy at age 59: GL 4+3 (80% pattern 4), PSA 2.9, negative margins, perineural invasion identified, negative lymph nodes (8), tumor extent moderate, adenocarcinoma.
PSA 7/2020 = <.014
PSA 1/2022 = .010
PSA 8/2022 = .014
PSA 3/2023 = .024
I realize the PSA is extremely low 5 years out, is not considered BCR and my PSA has never been very high. At diagnosis I had a knee jerk reaction and failed to properly research treatment options. Going forward, I want to make sure I have ample time to fully evaluate decisions - thus uPSA testing.
Does it appear I am heading toward BCR and if so, at what point do I need to reach out to an oncologist? No longer seeing urologist and have testing done at Lab Corp.
Many thanks to all of you who provide a wealth of knowledge!

The only wise action you can take now is to shorten your monitoring period, that is, wait not another 7 months for your next PSA count. Late June to early July will be the right time IMO.
