Swelling around mouth after having Prostap hormone injection.

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to Prostap hormone injection, because my husband had two hormone injections so far to help stop the tumor's flaring up, and developed a rash around his mouth and after having his second injection his lips and his tongue started swelling up, and he had to go to A&E, and on antibiotics and cream to help clear it up, and swelling started to go down.

Antibiotics won't help an allergic reaction. Lupron (the US version of Prostap) and other injectables carry a warning about potential anaphylactic reactions. If if is going to happen, it will be on the 2nd or 3rd injection because the auto-immune reaction has to be primed first. An antihistamine and steroids might be more effective. Try switching to Orgovyx.

Thank you when he had the first injection he just had a rash appear around his mouth, and it was after the second injection that the swelling appeared.

Injectible drugs often contain not only the active drug, but other ingredients as well--adjuvants, excipients etc. In my experience often it is preservatives, esp. in multi-dose vials. You should of course discuss this with your husband's doctor.
