I googled your question. Re flexible cystostomy, mostly what I saw was risk of urinary track infection, or somehow damage to the bladder..do either of those lead to increasing incontinence risk? I don't know with certitude, and no point in speculating IMHO. What is preventing you from asking your urologist ?Folks here cannot diagnosis your problem?I do believe frequent trips (dysuria???) and incontinence are separate problems. Have your urologist help you!!!!!!

For things /questions like this, try to remember that Google may help as much or more than a forum such as this. Asking an experienced specialist even better!!!

Thanks maleyI spent four hours in A&E yesterday and got some answers, one the procedure found strictures, and they dilated them,I am 81 years old this caused damage to the walls of the urethra, which at night when you are relaxed causes frequent urination,it may cure with time, but be warned older people.

What is A & E? what caused damage to the walls? Stricture caused by radiation...that is my nightmare about having radiation ! You can end up with a tube/catheter inserted into your bladder, and the tube leaving your body below the belly button, and not thru the urethra because of the stricture.Like so much of cancer of all kinds, the PCa cure just about as bad the PCa!!! Of course, patients are told little about this before a treatment is done....at least now we have the opportunity to learn what they don't/won't tell us!! They are too busy!!
