Though COVID19 canceled our in-person support groups and has challenged our volunteers' lives, Malecare's work continues and innovates. Please support our work with a donation at malecare.org/donate
1. Malecare's online support groups are hopping with activity. Malecare's mentoring program, though still in beta, has created more life-saving connections than we imagined.
2. Malecare's online December 2020 Prostate Cancer Patient Conference presented 43 doctors to 4,210 attendees. The largest patient-focused prostate cancer event, ever, by any organization.
3. Our work with underserved communities, such as military veterans, Black men, and Gay men, continues to reveal ways to help all men with prostate cancer.
4. Malecare research collaborations have expanded:
a. We look forward to publishing the results of our four-year NIH funded clinical trial in partnership with the University of Minnesota.
b. We'll soon launch a new prostate cancer quality of life program called 30 Minutes to Live, developed with the University of British Columbia.
c. We're publishing an assessment of prostate cancer support throughout the world, with help from the Univerisity of York.
d. We'll be launching a new patient navigation tool in April, developed in collaboration with the University of Toronto and Arizona State University.
e. We're optimistic about receiving our second medical device patent in 2021.
Every hour, someone new enlists Malecare in their prostate cancer journey, but as 2020 draws to a close, our funding is significantly behind where it needs to be. Help with the simple act of charity. Please help us to help you. Please make a generous year-end donation to Malecare at malecare.org
