PSA worries

After a few months of antibiotics from the doctors I had a PSA check which returned a level of 15.

Referred to consultant , examination (finger examination only) showed a enlarged prostate, as I was having to clench a lot I was given a course of Tamasulin.

Was promised a 12 week follow up appointment, this came and went, made calls myself to arrange new blood Psa check and chased appointments.

Appointment came through , Psa check first appointment 3 weeks later.

So most recent Psa shows my level has more than doubled in just over three months, from 15 to 30.5.

Asking what to expect or ask for at next appointment, possibly MRI, biopsy of the prostate, feeling let down already. Was consultant taking things too easy first appointment.

Any advice or help would be appreciated thank you.

They should have been on top of this situation but many times they do not rush or panic...probably will do a biopsy I dont believe the final diagnosis would be affected by the time lag...🙏for best results!!!

It's time for a biopsy.

Yeah, get that biopsy done. And don't sweat it; it was easy and mostly painless for me.
