Post radiation - lack of orgasmic release/retrograde ejaculation?

61 year old male, obese (70 lbs over weight). Following external radiation and brachy radiation for prostate cancer, when I approach orgasm I feel a very warm sensation in my rectum and go limp, with no sense of release or orgasm. Doctors have no answer, but from articles on the "interweb", I suspect it may be retrograde ejaculation (Doctors are not convinced, because they say retrograde ejaculation is usually accompanied by an orgasmic release similar to normal ejaculation, albeit sometimes with decreased intensity). In any event, I am curious as to whether anyone knows of any treatment for retrograde ejaculation (or the go-limp without orgasmic sensation, if its from some other cause), whether it be by prescription meds, supplements or herbals, or frankly even some sort of massage or body work.... My psa is still low (.16) and my testosterone on the low side of normal range (358).

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

Your doctors are right. Anorgasmia is a different thing entirely from retrograde ejaculation. In 95% of men, there is no ejaculate after RT, but orgasm should not be diminished. It took me a while to get used to orgasm without ejaculate - after a lifetime of associating the two, it was hard to get used to one without the other. If your anorgasmia persists, you might want to make an appointment with a sexual health medicine expert like Irwin Goldstein in San Diego.

This may help, Google- Efficacy of treatment with pseudoephedrine in men with retrograde ejaculation.

I recently read the article in the NIH National Library of Medicine PubMed.com.

Let me know what your thoughts are.

I also read in NIH PubMed.com about Deflux Injection in the bladder neck that may help retrograde ejaculation. Let me know what you think.
