Dr Charles (Snuffy) Myers has been saying that for a decade.

Can anyone point to something I can read on that. I hate the flaxmilk I've been drinking and using on my cereal - but I thought it was better than dairy milk. In googling flax oil and prostate and cancer - lots of conflicting info turns up, including from places like Memorial Sloan-Kettering.. "mskcc.org/cancer-care/integ...

And oncologynutrition.org/erfc/...

And drweil.com/health-wellness/...

So that leaves me all conflicted.. ;(

Luckily I have some 1% milk in the fridge..

I first saw it on doctor Axes site he didn't actually go into it just mentioned it then I did a bit of research and it was pretty clear that flaxseed oil is not good for prostate , sorry I can't give u a link I'm on a tablet not the computer and I don't know how to do it

have you tried almond or coconut milk ?

on UK NHS site they say that too much calcium may be a cause of prostate cancer for them to even say that means something I took my husband off his beloved cows milk and he only has eggs 2 times a week instead of every day

To the contrary, most of what I have read has been positive toward a flaxseed benefit toward cancer mitigation. Regards, judg69

Flax itself may be helpful - it's the flaxseed OIL that's the problem, and that's what this discussion is on.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/151... _Sorry that I was cranky. This study at least shows it is not harmful and with other information I have gleaned that it is highly probable that it is really helpful.

That study is refering to flaxseeds as opposed to flaxseed oil which has been extracted from the flaxseeds - I take flaxseed oil it is one of the best things to take if you are prone to allergies

it is wonderful stuff just not good for prostate cancer

I think the important point is - flax itself (ground up, mushed, made into something edible) may well be fine - but the refined flax-seed oil that flax-milk is made up of - is another story. Basically the good stuff is taken out in the refining and it leaves harmful stuff behind.

No even the best coldpressed organic flaxseed oil is not good for prostate

any reason why you don't have soya milk? Green tea is a nice healthy drink , it's anti cancer I especially like the Jasmine green tea , graviola tea is interesting too

Taste primarily.. the flax milk was palatable - the other stuff not so much.

Well - the flax-milk is heading down the drain. Wonder about oat milk.. found the almond based milk about undrinkable.
