So i know this is 3rd email today but wanted to share that after going through the post-op material the hospital sent home with me and watching all the recovery from prostatectomy videos tonight, I figured ok this is day 3 since catheter was removed, so I might as well give it a try. I locked myself in my home office turn on some porn and grabbed some lube. Very grateful to report I was able to achieve a semi-erection, but more importantly, I had an orgasm! So weird, but felt amazing just the same. I am truly holding this recovery with an open hand and trying to keep realistic expectations but I would be remiss if I didn't share the possibilities I'm experiencing after 3 days without a catheter.
Thanks again,

Brilliant. Note that the nerves enabling you to orgasm are not the same that enable an erection. EVEN if you were completely impotent you could still have an orgasm. The erections should get better, but it might be hit and miss and might let you down at a vital moment. To avoid this and give you confidence suggest you get some sildenafil, (Niagara) or better still falafel, (Cialis).
Watch out for climacturia or erectile incontinence. I am 6 1/2 years post op. Sometimes when I have an orgasm, or just an erection, I leak. Otherwise I have no incontinence. A bit of wet can be fun at the right time, but sometimes I wet the bed. This will never get better.
Goddam predictive text! That should have been tadalafil NOT falafel. Additionally, when you're confident with things, you can stop using the larger dose you might need at first and use daily low dose tadalafil. The effect of tadalafil lasts longer than sildenafil and if you take it every day you can be completely spontaneous.
I believe it's more expensive than sildenafil. Originally I took the patented version Cialis. This was about 20 times more expensive than sildenafil. I never actually paid for it. There should be a generic version available by now. I know the parent ran out last November, (in the UK).
If the 5mg doesn't work so well, try the 25mg. You're doing great, but don't expect too much in the first few months. So don't be disappointed if it takes a while, you have started off very positively,. Keep it up. (Pun)
In the US, sildenafil 20mg tablets can be very inexpensive when you use an app like GoodRX or similar. I pay under $36 for 90 (equivalent to 18 100mg Viagra tablets). I find that 3 of them does the trick. Anything beyond that is overkill. If 3 don't help, then 5 (100mg) probably won't be much better! Good luck!
Yes. That's the only thing that bothers me about Viagra: the bright blue fluorescent-like light. I do get a very slightly stuffy nose. It's all worth it though to get at least a partial erection!
I hate the blue light. If I want blue light, I'll go to Kmart. I use sildenafil because it is cheaper than Levitra and Cialis if you get it with online coupons in the 20mg tablet.
Yes sorry, if you hate the blue light, then I respect that. I note you say Cialis rather than tadalafil. Can't you get generic tadalafil not just the Cialis brand. I know the Viagra brand used to be more expensive than generic sildenafil.
The sildenafil 20mg works best for me. And it is cheap using a coupon app. I don't know about the other generics (Levitra and Cialis). I think one of them is available generic now. I have used Levitra and it worked well in the past (pre-op).
Good job! It took me over a year to get that amount of an erection, but I am 69 and already had some ED pre-op. It can take months for the nerve bundles to recover from the trauma of surgery. So I bet you will be at full staff soon!
